Rohit, Virat, Hardik and Bumrah rested for the Australia ODIs?
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to announce India's squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia at home. However, it is being understood that the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah will not be playing the three ODI match against the Aussie side. However, there is still no confirmation on these four main players resting for the entire ODI series against Australia. According to reports, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar will be announcing the squad during a virtual press conference on 18 September, 2023.
The Indian team will also be playing as many as two warm-up matches against England and Netherlands ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. India's first match in the mega event will be against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 8 October, 2023.
