Talented Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes will move to the Premier League from Sporting Lisbon after Wolves agreed to sign the midfielder for an initial 38 million pounds with an additional 4.2 million in add-ons. However, personal terms between the player and the club are yet to be finalised.
Wolves are set to play against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday and Bruno Lage will want to have the deal for Nunes sealed before his men take on Antonio Conte’s side. Wolves had paid Porto a total of 35 million pounds two years ago but the player has now been loaned to Belgian side Anderlecht this season.
Nunes is ready to accept the contract proposal with the final details having been discussed already and medical tests having been booked as well. As for the duration of Nunes’ contract, Wolves are putting a long-term contract on the table for the player as he is considered a top player at the moment. Nunes was on the scoresheet during Sporting Lisbon’s 3-0 victory over Rio Ave on Saturday. The player arrived at the Portuguese club in 2019 from Estoril and has been a key player for Sporting.
Nunes has featured in 76 games and found the back of the net a total of seven times in all competitions for SCP. In addition to that, the midfielder also has eight caps and one goal for Portugal, only having made his national debut last year.
