The first game in a three-match one-day series versus Australia will take place at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium today.

The team will be led by Hardik Pandya in place of Rohit Sharma, the current captain of the Indian side, who will miss the opening game due to personal reasons. Shreyas Iyer, who has suffered an injury recently, is also ruled out of the entire series.

Akash Chopra, a former cricketer for India and current sports commentator, predicted that the following matches will not be decided by a score of 3-0 but rather by a battle.

In a later segment of the same video, Chopra discussed Sanju Samson and claimed that since Shreyas will be missing the entire series, Sanju ought to have a chance. When Sanju had the opportunity, according to his track record throughout the years, he was a capable ODI batsman.

Shubman Gill will come to open with Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli at number 3 and KL Rahul at 4.

Speaking specifically about the number 8 player, Aakash Chopra stated that Umran Malik is India's best choice because wickets are rarely picked up in the middle overs. But, the Wankhede ground can also be taken into consideration, and either Shardul Thakur or Umran Malik can be chosen.
