This IPL edition commenced on 31st March, 2023 with defending champions Gujarat Titans taking on the Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. In IPL matches this season, Chahal has bagged 21 wickets at an average of 18.67 with as many as 3  4-fers to his name. Chahal’s performance this season might help him land the opportunity to play the ODI World Cup later this year which is all set to be hosted by India. Gujarat Titans’ Rashid Khan sits on the 2nd position on this list with a total of 23 wickets to his name in 13 matches for Gujarat Titans. Khan has been tremendous this IPL season and was also the only bowler to nail a hat-trick in a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders during the initial stages of the tournament. Khan has bowled at an average of 18 and has given away a total of 414 runs during the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Khan has also claimed a 4-fer in this tournament and has been clinical in helping GT make it to the play-offs once again.

And topping this list is none other than veteran pacer Mohammed Shami, who like his fellow teammate Rashid Khan, also has bagged 23 wickets in 13 matches for the Gujarat Titans. Shami has bowled at an average of 16.74 this season and has leaked a total of 385 runs in the ongoing edition of the IPL. He has bagged as many as 2 4-fers this season and is expected to claim more important wickets for the Titans throughout the remainder of the tournament. It is nothing but Shami’s experience, skill and talent that make him stand out as one of the best pacers the world has ever seen.
