The 16th IPL season is very special in this regard. On the one hand, 200+ runs have been chased only 18 times in the whole season, on the other hand, in this ipl season, only 200+ runs have been successfully chased 7 times in just 55 matches. 

IPL started in 2008, but the first successful 200+ run chase came in 2010. In the same year, another successful 200+ run chase was seen. After 4 years, in 2014, three times 200+ runs were chased successfully. Successfully chased 200+ runs twice in 2018 as well. A huge target like 200 runs in 120 balls was successfully changed twice in 2019 and twice in 2022.

This feat has been seen seven times in the current IPL Season 2023. But this year, Mumbai Indian's batting has to be praised, as Mumbai Indians have successfully chased 200-plus runs three times out of seven.

Mumbai Indians achieved the fastest 200-run chase by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in 16.3 overs.

Mumbai Indians set a new record in terms of successful 200+ run chases against Royal Challengers Bangalore last night when they chased down RCB's target of 199 thanks to Ishant Kishan's fireworks of 42 runs off 21 balls and Suryakumar Yadav's fastest inning of 83 runs off 35 balls. The match was won by 6 wickets in 16.3 overs and came first in the fastest 200+ run chase.

The fastest 200+ run chase was previously held by Delhi Daredevils in 2017 when they defeated Gujarat Lions. DC completed the 208-run goal with 15 balls remaining. In 2010, Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders with 10 balls remaining after successfully completing a 200-plus chase.
